Embroidery in Coeur d'Alene

In North Idaho, embroidered shirts & hats are a very popular and classy way of presenting your brand. After establishing your digitized desing in your inital order, embroidery is ideal for placing ongoing reorders as your team grows. With embroidery, you'll able to order whatever you need after the design is established. Preproduction samples are typically included with all new embroidered designs, so you can see a physical, sewn sample and make sure everything is perfect with your new brand, before we run the rest of your order. Our art approval process ensures ideal design sizing and thread color choices.

Digitizing for Embroidery

Any design to be embroidered must first be “digitized”. This is a process by which we recreate the design in a format that our computerized embroidery machines can understand. Unlike the screen print process or Digital Print, where we generally use vector artwork, embroidery art is it’s own entity. A digitized design cannot be used for much of anything else. Even if we start with vector artwork, it still must always be digitized for embroidery. In a nutshell, we must recreate your design, and then program it to run in a sequence that will give the best result. The process is similar in some ways to CNC programming.

Digitizing is a one-time cost. A physical embroidered sewn sample will be presented for approval; we always ask you to approve new embroidery designs in person. All artwork will be kept on file indefinitely for future reorders. We are usually able to create one digitized file which will look good on both the front of hats/beanies, as well as on shirts & outerwear (usually left chest placement). The cost for digitizing depends mainly on the size of the logo, and also the complexity and end use. For most left chest sized designs, we charge our standard art fee.
